In today’s global economy logistics is becoming an increasingly important branch of company management, regardless of the sector in which the firm operates. Finding the right raw materials and negotiating the best possible terms and conditions are essential for the wellbeing of any company. For this reason both the supply chain and the warehousing need to be managed effectively and efficiently: if they aren’t, then firms risks delays in production or in distribution. Bournemouth Business School International, which has over 20 years’ experience in designing corporate training programmes, has developed a series of courses specifically for people involved in this area. The courses are usually given to a closed group of participants from the same company, at a time of their choice, but may also be taken as one-to-one training. The minimum level of English required is upper-intermediate (B2) and the minimum course length is one week. The programme is tailored to suit the company’s needs and may focus on specific aspects such as Purchasing or Supply Chain Management, or may include a variety of logistics-related topics. Benchmarking and best practices are also discussed alongside such areas as Total Quality Management and Performance Monitoring.
