Something for the Techies.

There are lots of specialist courses in English for business, finance or travel and tourism, but one area that is still virtually untouched, despite growing demand, is English for science, technology and mathematics. Bournemouth Business School International has included this sector in its extensive portfolio of courses. Anyone with at least a B2 level of English can enrol on a course to improve their command of English in the scientific, technological, engineering or industrial context. The programme includes 20 lessons per week on such subjects as earthquakes, organic chemistry, trigonometry, computer operating systems and computer architecture, and it is possible to add a further 10 lessons per week in business English. Consequently, anyone involved in management in the scientific field can”kill two birds with one stone!” The course is offered for a minimum of one week over the summer and for a minimum of four weeks all year round. Long-term students may gain a Vocational Certificate, in addition to an EFL qualification. BBSI, which is situated in the centre of Bournemouth, offers accommodation with selected local families or in self-catering residences within walking distance of the school.
