Aarrgghh!!! On your bike!

Gennaio 2015
Come si traduce in inglese "biciclette a mano"? In questo comune se lo staranno ancora domandando, speriamo! Vi diamo un aiuto... non si dice "bikes to hand", ma...

di Kathleen Cornford

Automatic translation is taking giant steps, and for this reason professional translators worry that one day they will be out of work. Really? Well, judging by some of the signs that you see around, it’s fair to say that they needn’t start worrying just yet. Our thanks to Orsolya Fark for taking the “bikes to hand” photo (left; the correct sign is on the right, click here to enlarge the images).

If you see English mistakes (in Italy, the UK, anywhere!) that make you scream “Aarrgghh!!!” take a photo (please make sure
it’s in focus!) and send it to redazione@speakupmagazine.it. We will publish the best (that is, the worst) both here and on our Facebook page.
