The owners of this restaurant deserve credit for their creativity and for their decision not to use Google Translate, but to follow their own instincts. It’s just a pity that the phrase “Eating Domestic” doesn’t really mean anything, although it is reminscent of the expression “Going Native,” which refers to people who move to another country and become totally absorbed by its culture. The correct translation is “home cooking.”
Our thanks to Maria Teresa Baldi.
