Presumably, this tree at the entrance to the town square in Castagneto Carducci (near Livorno) has been there for a long time but, according to this road sign at least (click here to enlarge the image), it only received official permission very recently. What the sign should say is “Authorized Vehicles Only” (and in German “Nur Für Anlieger”). Our thanks to Stefano Ciarleglio for spotting this fine example of “Lost in Translation.”
