Pink Floyd: coming soon...

By Mark Worden LANGUAGE LEVEL C1 (ADVANCED)

The big Pink Floyd exhibition coming to Milan in September, Their Mortal Remains – quite an enigmatic title! – will be, I hope, and I... I... believe will be the biggest exhibition of... the chance to see the biggest array of Pink Floyd-connected objects and... and material ever. I can imagine going there and not coming out for four or five hours! I don’t really know the details of everything in there but it’s... it will be an absolute feast for anyone with even the... a passing interest in Pink Floyd, and maybe even an insight into what’s been going on for the last 50 years! And I think it will be classy. This isn’t a cheap circus sideshow, I think this will be a... a classy thing, classy Floyd. I can’t wait for it!

Jill Furmavosky (Standard British accent)

This year with the release of what I understand is to be an album of new material, although not recorded in the last few months, but an... an album of new material to be called The Endless River, I think that’s going to be an amazing project. As I understand it, it’s music in particular that is inspired by the writings of Rick Wright who, as Floyd fans know, passed away about a year ago. We’ve kind of lost two members of the Floyd, we’ve lost Storm and we’ve lost Rick Wright, but the music lives on, and I think that maybe David (Gilmour - ed) and Nick (Mason – ed) wanted to perhaps... perhaps push forward Rick’s contribution to the Floyd’s music a little bit more than has been the case in the past. So I think I’m... I personally can’t wait to hear it.

I can’t wait.

We’ve lost Storm.
