Mark Worden (Standard British accent):
The July issue of Speak Up features an interview with Peter Strong, director of the Heritage Center on the Pine Ridge reservation in South Dakota. In this out-take he describes some of the Native American art that is on display there:
In every media we see just stellar pieces that could hang… on the wall of any museum or any art gallery in the world, for that matter, and hang next to the masters’ art and really hold its own. I mean, a lot of what you’ll see here really speaks in a lot of different ways and a lot of different levels. And you’ll see painting, you’ll see sculpture, beadwork, ceramics work that’s just unbelievable, and the skill and the expertise and the expression, too.
