Raymond Reddington is a former federal agent who has become a "wanted" terrorist. He decides, however, to collaborate with the FBI, and hands over a "blacklist" of criminals and terrorists. He only wants to speak to Elizabeth Keen, a rookie agent on her first day of active duty. They develop a relationship like that of Hannibal Lecter and Clarice Starling in The Silence of the Lambs. Every episode features a new criminal case, but the real mystery unfolds over the course of the series: why has Reddington given himself up to the FBI? And who is Elizabeth Keen exactly?
