Let’s Be Cops

Summer is the season for light comedies. Heading the list this year is Let's Be Cops, which will be released in the United States on August 13th (and in Italy, as "Bastardi in divisa," on September 25th). The film is directed by Luke Greenfield who, when he was a teenager, received a letter from Steven Spielberg: this was because his mother had sent the great director two of her son's short high school films. Let's Be Cops stars Jake Johnson and Damon Wayans Jr as two local losers who dress up as police officers for a costume party. Reactions (especially from the ladies) are so positive that they carry on wearing their cop costumes in real life, and even acquire a fake police car. They soon come up against some hardened criminals. Nina Dobrev and Andy Garcia are also in the cast.
