Richard Gere

Everyone in this movie is just trying to modify the damage that Sonny wreaks on everything! You know, to have, obviously, Maggie (Smith) and Judi (Dench) in this anchors it in a way, and expanding on the characters that they developed in the first movie, but I think the focusing on the younger couple much more in this movie, I think, has added a lot to it, and allows all the characters to kind of bounce around with what their middle-aged problems are, but put them in a context of the world.  I think this is actually a much more Shakespearian story of comedy and manners and human foibles; kind of the full range of things.
